Interconnected stores are therefore often designed in such a way that they create a harmonious picture as a whole. Separate sales areas within a fashion store for different brands (“shop-in-shop” system) offer the opportunity to cleverly break up large spaces and create a varied environment for the end customer. The challenge here is usually to visually differentiate the various “shop-in-shop” systems from one another in such a way that each can work on its own and yet all together create a harmonious overall picture. For this reason, the intermediate areas are often extended with decorative booths and inviting seating areas. Color schemes and wallpapers are also coordinated. Indirect lighting in changing rooms and ceiling cladding also create an atmospheric ambience.
